Tips to arrange: The lines of flowering quince are complex but the insert points of the branches are aligned from the right to the left of the frog. To do so, the arrangement becomes a serene atmosphere.

What does Ikebana mean?

Ikebana means 'giving life to flowers.' Its original purpose is offering flowers to Buddha. Ikebana, the traditional Japanese art of flower arrangement, emphasizes harmony with heaven, earth and man creating the unity of the three principles. Dynamic lines, created with a few materials and the space between flowers, are distinctive characteristics of Ikebana. The use of negative space creates serene natural aesthetics that opens up a space for contemplation of life. The emptiness of the arrangement is more meaningful than a full vase of flowers. It invites us to think about the natural cycle of life and the relationship between nature and people. Each Ikebana arrangement gives us an opportunity to rediscover the beauty of nature and simplicity. Ikebana flower arranging can be considered as a miniature representation of the universe in a small container.
